Violent Brawl Erupts in Hertford After England’s Euro 2024 Loss; Two Stabbed

A massive brawl erupted in Hertford town center last night following England’s 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final, resulting in two men suffering stab wounds.

Millions of viewers across the UK watched the match on Sunday, but the post-match disappointment quickly turned into violence in Hertford. Footage captured on Market Street shows large groups of England fans engaging in physical altercations, kicking and punching each other as the situation spiraled out of control.

Hertfordshire Constabulary responded to numerous incidents throughout the town and confirmed that two men were stabbed during the chaos. One of the victims was taken to the hospital with a knife wound to his chest, while the second man also sustained a knife injury.

Three men, all in their 20s, have been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident.

“We responded to numerous fights and disorder in Hertford town center yesterday evening after receiving a large number of calls from members of the public,” read a statement from Herts Police. “One man was taken to hospital with a knife injury to his chest, and a second man received a knife wound.”
